Holiday Accommodation Parks Association of NZ Inc (HPNZ), or Holiday Parks New Zealand as we are more commonly known is the industry association representing the holiday accommodation park sector in New Zealand. We have around 230 member holiday parks in New Zealand and over 90 companies that are trade members.

Holiday Parks NZ is here to support the industry to flourish and as a Holiday Park Owner, you can rest assured that we have your back, supporting your business when it matters most. We are here to open doors to a network of industry peers and experts, fostering knowledge sharing and mutual support. We provide practical support through resources and tools, and we also ensure our sector voice is heard by those in central and local government when it is needed. On top of all of that, we also offer access to significant savings through our trade members and partnerships. HPNZ is YOUR member industry association. We are here to help. Promoting the Holiday Parks sector

  • HPNZ Website & Your Park Page – Your park gets a full listing on the HPNZ website, which attracts more than 16,500 visits per month. Update your page anytime to keep it accurate and compelling. Listings include a direct booking or enquiry link, plus a lower commission rate on bookings made through our site.
  • Printed Map – One of the most-picked-up resources for NZ travellers. We’ve printed 45,000 copies for 2025/26, distributed nationwide and on request worldwide. Also available digitally on our website.
  • Sector Promotion – We champion the sector through media releases, interviews, and stories that highlight member work and the value of holiday parks. Our social channels share updates, celebrate good news, and keep the spotlight on members with both travellers and the wider tourism industry.
  • Quarterly Consumer Newsletter – Each season we send an inspiration-packed newsletter to consumers, featuring news, stories, and competitions designed to drive stays at member parks. You supply the story, we’ll get it in front of an audience already keen to explore New Zealand.
  • TRENZ – We attend and represent members annually at this key international tourism trade event.

Terms & Conditions

I/We agree that if our application is successful, we will:

  • conform to the Constitution and Rules of Holiday Accommodation Parks Association of New Zealand (Holiday Parks New Zealand)
  • pay the annual subscription fees and any other charges for services or products of Holiday Parks New Zealand during our membership
  • provide to Holiday Parks New Zealand such information as Holiday Parks New Zealand may decide is necessary for our annual subscriptions and any other charges due.

I/We also agree to the following specific terms and conditions:

  1. The Park is registered as a camping ground pursuant to the Camping Ground Regulations 1985 or such other legislative provisions in force for the time being.
  2. As a Member, we will promote the interests and purposes of the Society and shall do nothing to bring the Society into disrepute.
  3. I/We will remain a member of Holiday Parks New Zealand until either Holiday Parks New Zealand receives both one month’s written notice of resignation and full payment of all outstanding annual subscription fees and any other charges due to it; or immediately if our membership subscription, fee or other charges are unpaid three months or more from their due date.
  4. Annual subscriptions are due in full on the annual subscription date which is aligned with our financial year of 1 May. The annual subscription fee due is for a full year and will not be pro-rated if I/We resign at any time after one month from receipt of the annual subscription invoice or part way through our membership year.
  5. Any Member failing to pay the annual subscription (including any periodic payment), any levy, or any capitation fees, within 3 calendar month(s) of the date the same was due for payment shall be considered as unfinancial and shall (without being released from the obligation of payment) have no membership rights and shall not be entitled to participate in any Society activity or to access or use the Society’s premises, facilities, equipment and other property until all the arrears are paid.
  6. If such arrears are not paid within 6 calendar months of the due date for payment of the subscription, any other fees, or levy the Committee may terminate the Member’s membership (without being required to give prior notice to that Member).
  7. I/We agree that when we cease to be a member under the constitution that
    1. we remain liable to pay all subscriptions and other fees to the Society’s next balance date,
    2. shall cease to hold ourselves as a Member of the Society, and
    3. shall return to the Society all material provided to Members by the Society (including any membership certificate, badges, handbooks and manuals)
    4. shall cease to be entitled to any of the rights of a Society Member.
  8. I/We agree with Holiday Parks New Zealand’s general terms of trade in force from time to time and any specific terms as they relate to the provision of services or products supplied to us. I/We agree that these terms of trade may be varied by Holiday Parks New Zealand from time to time without reference to us.
  9. I/We will advise Holiday Parks New Zealand in writing the contact details of who our primary contact person is for membership purposes and if different, for invoicing purposes. I/We will keep you informed if/when they change.
  10. I/We agree that if, for any reason, we are dissatisfied with our membership or any services provided by Holiday Parks New Zealand I/We will, before resigning or taking any other action, first notify the Chief Executive of Holiday Parks New Zealand (or their designate). On request will meet with Holiday Parks New Zealand with a view to resolving the problem.

The Committee may accept or decline an application for membership at its sole discretion. The Committee will advise the applicant of its decision.
