Hi! I’m Paul and I’m a builder that has been self-employed for more years than I care to think (since the late 1980s), so minor building, maintenance, fences etc. are no problem. I’m happy to mow lawns, do rubbish runs, paint, gardening, maintain swimming pools etc., the only thing I really don’t want to do is cleaning and housekeeping.
While I have been here at Mt Aspiring Holiday Park, Wanaka (3-month contract) apart from the daily tasks all Holiday Parks need doing, I have assisted with the relining of the ceilings and painting in one of the toilet blocks, minor maintenance in some of the self-contained cabins, built shelves for one of the kitchen blocks amongst other things.
I have worked at Hihi Beach Holiday Park over Christmas/January 2020/2021 and again at easter 2021. There I assisted the owners in all aspects (alongside my ex-partner) including Reception and manning a small shop that they have which also serves the local community. Unfortunately, a return to Hihi was not to be as a couple was required.
I have a 2013 English caravan so I can live on site, and I am happy to go most places in NZ but preferably near the sea or lakes. I’m available pretty much anytime except for October- November this year as I have a trip to Africa booked.
Short to medium contracts are preferred (2-6 Months) but this is negotiable.
