Outstanding Service Award​

The Holiday Park Industry Outstanding Service Award is the sector’s most prestigious individual award. It recognises an individual’s (or a couple’s) outstanding contribution to New Zealand Holiday Parks over many years. Entries for this award are by nomination only. The recipient is selected from nominees by representatives of the HPNZ board.  

The winner of this award will be announced at the Holiday Park Awards on 30 July 2026 and receives a trophy to keep.

The judges will take the following areas into consideration.

  • The nominee has had a long and distinguished career in the holiday parks sector (or has been in a role where they have had a major influence on tourism).
  • They have held leadership roles in holiday park businesses and/or organisations that have enjoyed success under their leadership.
  • They have made a significant contribution to the wider holiday parks industry, with particular attention to the past five years.
  • This is a national award and generally speaking the nominees’ contributions should have had considerable national effect and significance.
  • They have demonstrated vision and a commitment to the development of the holiday parks sector.
  • Their personal qualities underscore their professional success, i.e. integrity, innovation, entrepreneurship, inclusiveness, passion, empowerment, accountability, inspiring, a great communicator, empathy


The nominee has retired, reduced their active involvement in the industry or is nearing the end of their holiday parks career.

  • Some supporting material is encouraged and can be submitted to support the nomination. Please provide up to 2MB of supporting material in PDF format. This should be one document and not exceed 5 pages. It can include links to websites, online documents or video content (max. three minutes).
  • A career summary or CV (optional) can be uploaded. This should be a maximum of 2 pages.
  • A photo of the nominee/s is required.
  • The names of two referees, including their contact email and phone number.
