Community Engagement Award

Sponsored by Big Save Commercial

The Community Engagement Award recognises a Holiday Park that actively supports and connects with its local communities through thoughtful, sustained, and impactful initiatives.

The winner of this award will be announced at the Holiday Park Awards on 30 July 2026 and receives a trophy to keep.

What the Judges are looking for
  • Judges are looking for a park that has gone above and beyond to make a genuine difference in their community – not just a one-off gesture, but meaningful initiative/s with real purpose and staying power. They want to see something that has been thoughtfully integrated into the way the business operates, enriching the lives of those in the local community while also enhancing the experience for visitors.
  • What sets a strong entry apart is evidence of real, lasting impact. Judges want to understand what the initiative set out to achieve, how it has been carried through over time, and what difference it has made. If you can show that your park has reflected on what’s working and continued to grow and improve the initiative along the way, even better.
Eligibility
  • This award is open to a Holiday Park only. Joint or group submissions will not be accepted.
  • The Holiday Park must be a full financial member of Holiday Parks New Zealand.
Supporting Material
  • Some supporting material is encouraged and can be submitted to support any/all of the criteria for the award. This material should be supplementary to your entry. Entrants can provide up to 2MB of supporting material in PDF format. This should be one document and not exceed 5 pages. It can include links to websites, online documents or video content (max. three minutes).
  • A minimum of 6 images is required to showcase this initiative.
