Operations Assistant Manager

Pakiri Beach Holiday Park has direct ocean-beach frontage, is surrounded by farmland and borders the Poutawa Stream. Located only 90 minutes from Auckland city, we invite you to come and join our friendly team and enjoy nature at its finest.


Pakiri Beach Holiday Park operates all year round and is managed on a daily basis by two operations assistant managers. They handle the company’s bookings and property management systems. They are responsible for managing a team of housekeepers, grounds people, reception, and administration employees. Their direct report is to the business manager. We require an operations assistant manager with the ability to plan and manage all duties while willing to “get their hands dirty” in assisting with daily tasks. The role supports the business manager and the implementation of the future development plans.


Accommodation is provided for this position, you will be required to stay on site in the other manager’s absence. This role is salaried and based on a roster 8:30 am – 7 pm with some late night rounds.


You are an energetic, can-do, “all-rounder” who can lead and manage a team, enjoys guest service and is comfortable with hands-on work. You must be physically fit and have a positive team attitude.


Manage guest bookings and reception to deliver exceptional service.

Assist with housekeeping to ensure excellent hygiene standards are upheld.

Assist with the maintenance management of the grounds, buildings, water and sewer systems.

Working closely with marketing assistant and business manager to implement marketing strategies.

Oversee daily health and safety management.

Help maintain the presentation of the holiday park to ensure outstanding visitor experience for our guests.

Night porter and security.


Good communication ability and fluent oral and written English skills.

Experience in a supervisory role, preferably in hospitality/holiday park/tourism sector.

New book park management software experiences an advantage.

Experience in building/hand person skills will be an advantage.
